The Yorkshire Cancer Network Cancer Care Education Programme has been developed by cancer
care clinicians across the network. The purpose of the programme is to
support the delivery of high quality education and the demonstration of
competency in practice, reduce duplication of effort and be transferable.
The programme can be delivered in 3 longer days or 4 days to allow flexibilities for localities using it.
The programme is aimed at junior qualified clinicians working in
specialist cancer areas and more senior clinicians working in non-cancer specialist areas.
The programme is not accredited by a University, however participants
who would like to gain credit for attending the programme are able to
access modules to accredit prior learning at both Bradford University
and Leeds University.
The programme has been reviewed in 2009 and will be formally
reviewed every 3 years. However, relevant changes to
individual sessions will be made as highlighted and required.
