The YCN chemotherapy competency documents have been developed by the Yorkshire Cancer Network Chemotherapy Education Group
and form part of the Yorkshire Cancer Network Chemotherapy Education Programme.
They have been adopted from the Skills for Health National Workforce Competences and support the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF).
The number of competency documents available reflects the different ways in which chemotherapy is
administered across the YCN and the differing roles of staff who require these skills.
Practitioners should select the relevant YCN chemotherapy competency document based on their learning
needs. This should be agreed as part of their Personal Development Plan (PDP).
Competency documents have been developed for nursing and medical staff.
